Crowley, Texas


Gateway Planning teamed with GSBS Architects in 2009 to create revitalization plan for a half mile section of Crowley’s Main Street from SH 731 to Beverly Street.  It created a proactive framework to address future needs and challenges while creating a sense of place and identity.  The goal of the initiative was to create a well-planned and well managed Main Street that provides opportunities for social interaction and commerce – perpetuating the idea of “place” and a center of activity.  An in depth stakeholder and planning process resulted in recommendations and suggestions outlined in a report that provides Crowley a blueprint to address improvements that will benefit future generations.
